The new generation players are here!

Over 60 million digital viewers for Wimbledon and the hottest Championship ever in every way!

Brilliant play by so many young, and some not so young veterans, with stars of the future showing new levels of skill and athleticism which now define what is needed to become a Champion.

Some amazing play from Djokovic, who defies the odds, but increasingly meets his match; and of course Cilic back from injury and looking dangerous; Fognini finding incredible skills, competing to the end and nearly causing an upset, while Dimitrov was two sets up when disaster struck.

A remarkable and sensational Italian renaissance; so many truly skilful and powerful players; Cobolli, Sinner, Bellucci, Musetti, Berrettini, Sonego, Nardi, Darderi, Arnaldi, all in the top 100, and with Errani, Paolini, Moratelli and Rosatello all in the women's world top 100 for doubles, they are a formidable force in Tennis.

So no surprise to see a strong contingent in the final rounds, and with Sinner victorious in a sensational mens final, playing the latest version of Power-Tennis against Alcaraz; first serving regularly exceeding 130 mph and groundstrokes over 80 mph, with movement and court coverage to match in a breathtaking four set test of willpower and fitness by both men.

The women's Championship was decided on a hot, packed centre court, after an intriguing and unpredictable competition which saw Sabalenka edged out by Anisimova, and some great matches where Germany's Laura Seigemund nearly caused an major upset, and Sonay Kartal and Emma Raducanu played some great Tennis and consolidated their positions firmly in the top 100. Iga Swiatek is now a grand slam winner on all surfaces, and made few mistakes in a one sided contest where Anisimova was unable to conquer her nerves and was swept aside in front of a sympathetic crowd.

The Brits had the biggest entry list for over 20 years, and the pairing of Glasspool and Cash secured the mens Doubles Championship, for the first time in 89 years!

Wimbledon remains the one to win, and goes from strength to strength as the showcase for Tennis on the world stage. Two young Champions who danced at the Ball, even though apparently they were told there was no pressure to do so - they went ahead and looked amazing!

Stand out performances? Of course the Men's finalists and Champions, and then veterans Fognini and Dimitrov, rising star Cobolli, Fritz and Norrie who showed their class, not forgetting Draper and Shelton who showcased their next generation skillset. Aryna Sabalenka is now the woman to beat with Bencic, Tauson, Kartal and Raducanu bringing their best Tennis, and Andreeva looking like a future Champion.

A stand out year in SW19 - must try the Pasta with Strawberries sometime!
